HISTORY

The Deliverance Church Embu was started in 1989 with it's first service held at the Izaak Walton Hotel. The church later moved to it's current location in Blue Valley estate in 1991. By God's grace the church has numerically grown to a mega church with a membership of one thousand one hundred members by 2012. The church has a strong outreach ministry which is further extended through the establishment of Embu Christian School.

OUR IDENTITY

We are open to people of all walks of life, races and social strata.

We are sensitive to the guidance and leading of the voice of God in about everything namely evangelism, ministry of the word, prayer and intercessory among others. We are totally submitted to God and the Holy Spirit.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Deliverance Church Blue Valley is a Pentecostal church - a part of the wider Deliverance church International under Bishop Mark Kariuki. We believe in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ of going out and making disciples of all nations and teaching them the word of God.

• We believe that Jesus was the only son of God who died on the cross for our sake.

• We believe in the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of the word of God - the infallible word of Cod with power to accomplish His purposes of saving man.

• We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ

• We believe in water baptism by immersion of believers as a public declaration of their identity with Christ, His death, burial and resurrection.

We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
